1KZ-TE - Switched from electric to manual diesel pump

Please help
I recently changed the diesel pump on my 1994 Toyota Surf from electric to manual. It has an automatic transmition.The problem is now it does not engage into overdrive or fourth gear anymore.
Are the wires from the pump connected to the gearbox somehow through the ECU?
How can I fix this issue?

Um its not as simple as that...
The Yes the ECU for the engine controls the auto... It uses several of the sensors that were also used by the engine. One being the TPS the other the speed sensor and also temp oh and Revs....
You can do several things.... find a stand alone auto controller from a jeep or an old toyota crown... Wire it in with a TPS sensor etc etc....
Or manualise the auto.... I have a thread on here somewhere...
Get a supra shift from the states or similar...
Or change to a manual gearbox....

Have read a couple of forums about the solenoids and how they work. So I have a project on the way now.
3 solenoids are in the box. 2 are for changing the gears and the 3rd one for engaging overdrive.
I just have to figure out which is which and how to manually pass the electric current to it.
