totally different.
afaik the tacho feed comes from ECU not directly from the pump.
you will need to change the tach itself or fit a converter.

I used this Jaycar kit to change the signal from my manual pump to tacho
When I got rid of the electronic fuel pump in my 1KZTE....
Note: manual pump is a hybrid 2LT one so should have the same tacho pickup on it...

Just seen this post. Having the same problem. Just swapped on a KZJ71 body. The link no longer works to jaycar. What was the part called & would you still have a part #

Its been discontinued.

The replacement kit may not work.
As the previous kit could be adjusted to different input signals and then pass them thru as new signals.

Best fix is to get a tacho from a 2LT and swap them over in your instrument cluster.
Did that for mine as the Jaycar kit was a bit jumpy...
