Hi

Anyone got a spare EGR pipe that I can borrow? The one that transfers exhaust gas back into the inlet.

Wanted to get a couple of plates made up to block it off.

Cheers

I wanted to borrow one so I could do that without taking the truck off the road.

I can probably trace around some and post up here with sizes to make sure that scaling is correct. Will have to find the time during weekend tho if you can wait that long

That's what I did. Works treat. Then you can cut the pipe out from behind the head, much faster.

Cheers

Good idea guys.
I'll go with that plan. Looks like a right bitch to get out otherwise.
Cheers

cant remember how the td ones operate but if its got a vacume activator you can also just take the vacume tube off it and put a screw in to block the vac line off

Same size blank at either end. MAY be different after the valve located on inlet manifold, but the pipe its-self has this pattern on both ends.
Comes up on my screen as approx double its actual size (76mm long, 45 wide) I haven't resized it at all (trimmed excess off from scan is all), so I'm hoping if its reprinted it'll come out to scale. I'm outa ink so I can't check.

you only need to put 1 plate in either end will work

Cheers for that, can anyone confirm whether the intake manifold fitting is the same?

Yeah, they're the same. Last ones I made were 1 alloy for intake and a steel one for exhaust. I now have both manifolds down in garage so will be making some more in next week or so. Perhaps I was a bit pedantic doing an alloy and a steel blanking plates but at that time I was worried about the gaskets giving up due to different expansion rates of different materials.
I'll let yous know if it is different.

Cheers,

Just double checked, both blanks ARE the same size.

Yep, probably pedantic..
But I did this too.. ..
Steel would be fine on intake, alloy maybe not so good on exhaust.
If anyone making a blank up, make the exhaust one out of thick enough steel to thread and fit EGR probe
