Could someone enlighten me on the difference between the SC12 to the SC14 supercharger, An there pro's an con's?
Which one would be a more suitable charger for say a little 2L V6?
Cheers,
Any help will go a long way

Size
sc12 came off a 1600cc engine and I think is 1200cc per rev
sc14 came off a 2000cc engine and is 1400cc per rev .
Not 100% sure on the capacity but think thats the case .

Re: Anyone know the difference between a SC12, SC14 supercha
1600 4agze =sc12 came out in the supercharged aw11 mr2 bigport and the supercharged ae92 trueno's and levin's. then changed to smallport with coil packs on ae101.
2000 1ggze =sc14 is physically bigger and come out in the mid 80;s supras both run a electric type clutch to turn on and off. also seen sc14's on estima vans. on a suzuki v6 you would be better off going for the sc14 as its the right capacity for ya engine, and is more common due to the estima having em on selected models. mounting it is going to be your problem. having a (Go baby) switch in the cab when ya need it is all ways handy. when i played with em i wired it to a rpm switch in the ecu because if ya had ya foot down ya probably wanted to do something in a hurry any way. i had a new crank pulley milled up to put more boost in too. did a heap of other shit too but long story.. eventualy went turbo never looked back. this was all on rally cars tho so 4wd could still be worth it maybe.

Get hold of Dave at Falsgrave Autos (here in CHCH). He has made an offroader with a SC Suzuki 2.5V6.
He might have some tips etc that could save you time/effort.

As mentioned above the SC 14 is slightly larger and flows more air (1400cc v 1200cc). I run a sc12 on an 1800cc motor and at a 1:1 drive ratio I am only gettin about 6 lb boost. To get to the 12-14lb I want I will be going sc14. (when I decompress the motor) Both get less efficent the faster you run them and have a terminal speed of around 14000prm. At that temp becomes an issue and the teflon on the lobs starts to melt.
You will have guys tell you they run sc14s on 3.8 commodore motors no issues. You will find they are only running about 5 lb and the sc14 is close to max revs.
If you only want to run a few pound the 12 might be an option, but I would say the 14.

Toy - Zuk chassis tub, hilux 4.88 axles and transfer, Nissan CA18DE motor and auto trans, sc12 supercharger, 32 10'5 simex, twin motor 8274 custom freespool. Well the parts are all there in various corners of the shed

Re: Anyone know the difference between a SC12, SC14 supercha
Thanks a bunch guy's, this is all great information food for thought. i will try track me down a charger an go from there.
I looked into the idea of putting a hair dryer on, but the cost are too much for custom fab an for what i'm wanting is just a bit more low down grunt where my engine seem's to struggle once the rev's have drop.
Ill try get in contact with them guy's who have already done this to there suzuki.
Cheers,
Clay

I'd reccomend the sc14. My old ae101 Levin had an sc12 from factory and ran 8 psi with standard pullies on its 1600. They have a clutch like your a/c unit like mentioned before which operated when the vacuum pressure got to a certain point. Apparently you can manually over ride the switch and switch it on and off at your own leisure mad max styles
I also heard if you change the pullies to get more boost you have to disconnect the clutch because it won't be able to handle it
