exhaust light flickering sometimes solid

Postby bigstu » Sat Feb 09, 2013 9:20 pm

Hi not a 4wd I know but I just brought a 1986 corolla 4age fxgt for a run about, the exhaust/cat light randomly flickers sometimes stays on what is this for? and what does it mean? Ive tried googling it but seem to end up with modern diesel exhaust system issues.
thanks Stu

If engine runs poorly this can cause exhaust temperature to rise, and then bring on light. But quite likely to be a fault with light circuit
