any old gen 1 chev bellhousing will fit the bolt pattern never changed but I think theres one bolt hole not tapped on the ls blocks theres an oil gallery or something running behind it, dunno if a R151 would be the gearbox of choice to go behind an ls a larger cruiser box might be a bit stronger :D there used to be tons of chev to R151 bellhousing listed on trademe do a bit of research and you might find out who had them all, that marks adaptors stuff is really fawking expensive it makes ARB look cheep :D so do a bit of shopping around to find something cost effective

i would stay clear of marks adapter in C/C.

i paid for return airfares to Melbourne and bought the low range gears form their shop and still had change left over from what the C/C lads wanted

had a nice holidays whilst we were there thou :D

from memory up to 92 remaind unchanged, then 92 till 96/97 there were changes stroke/bore and to the head design 4 stud manifolds or similar, then 97 onwards was the LS1, but the LS' have completely nothing in common really with the original 350 small block. they were designed by a boat manufacturer as GM hadn't any real tech and expierence with "aloomanim" blocks till then

Ok the chevy 350 bellhousing fits the ls block it is just 1 bolt diffrent. I hung a 70series manual off mine not a problem. I used a ls flywheel with cruiser chutch plate. The bell housing was 350 to cruiser off trademe.
