RUGGER/rocky will 1JZ fit?
I'm looking at options for my latest toy a Rocky and it will be a comp truck.
Will a 1JZ fit in the engine bay (Radiator in the rear so no radiator issues etc)? (I was going 1KZ with AUTO) but i'm being pushed to go for horsepower lol. Auto is so wife can drive it later.

1JZ and 2JZ's are almost square but they do fit with 2" spare. However since wife will be driving it its going to be a 1KZ and AUTO both modified one for ECU removal and AUTO for keeping the torque converter locked on gas pedal lifted off.
More details later when I start the build in the coming weeks if people are interested.
Wife daily drive and COmp truck in one

Re: RUGGER/rocky will 1JZ fit?
The Rocky aas when I bought it.
6 Months later it's painted along with me fitting new rear door.
Next is the engine and gearbox swap
New Alloys matching the paint have been bought also as have Landcruiser II axles. All waiting for the engine swap to be completed first.
New lights all round have been purchased and new window rubbers. Just rear windows to go.

We have one guy here with a Rocky pickup with a BMW range rover 2.5 diesel in it. it looks just off the planet and goes wonderfully well.

A few years ago when I was into slaming hiluxs and fitting rediculously powerful engines(rb30dett) and the like ...a guy had a sr20det powered rodeo and his wife had a road legal and certed feroza with a late 1990's wrx imprezza engine in it. It even had it's own article in one of the numerous Australian car magazines.
