Quick Recovery Mount question

Postby timmay556 » Wed Jun 25, 2014 11:37 am

I have an ARB (non winch bar) my GQ with two of those two hooks mounted on the top - I'm guessing if I try and recover someone using this I would ripp of my bar? Where else can I mount them?

arb bars are always ugly things to get good hook locations to avoid the amount of cantilever force on the mounts, weld some plates over the shackle eyes and mount some sideways hooks down there and most of the load and force is transferred straight back to the fixings on the chassis rails

might be able to weld a small piece of plate on the inside of your bar, in line with your chassis rail, and put an eye bolt through.
