Hi all, I'm trying to find the true height of the simex tyre 31x10.5 as i have been researching around an finding they are almost close to a 33, something like 32.4 inch roughtly, I am running the 31x10.5 r16 silverstone an they seem to be quite small..
Just trying to ascertain if jumping over too the simex would be a wise move or just going too 33's silverstone, which may be closer to the simex 31..
Any help from people that really know these tyre's would be greatly appresiated

Not sure on the 31" sizing, but a few years ago the 35" sizing had the simex at 35.5 and the silverstone at 34.75.
This has been rectified and they are now identical, so possibly its the same deal with your situation especially so if you have older silverstones

If that's the case it seem's i must have aquired the old cast tyre's,
I've seen some of what must have been the "older" silverstone's in 35x what ever r16 an the actually measured up too a 33.8 lol.
Ok good too know, ill ask for some sort of date on the tyre's when looking around for next set..
Is it true the 16 tyre sizing may be a bit smaller then advertised with the silverstones ?? Maybe

Take a tape measure into the tyre shop

Depends on inflation pressure as well as rim width. Different variables that give a different tyre radius overall.

What he said ^^^^^^^^^^
All our measurements are marked on the side of our hoist and are taken with tyre mounted to 8" rim @ 30psi
