Hi all,
Relatively new to serious offroading, so I have a bit of a noob question here.
I'm running 33's on my 1993 Surf, which also has a 2" coil and 2" body lift - so it's quite high.
My question is: If you guys get a flat tire out in the bush do you change it with a standard jack? What is the process that you undertake (ie: on rough terrain etc).
Are these "high lift jacks" meant for tire changes on lifted vehicles?
Cheers

Re: Changing a Flat Tire - Noob Question
Standard is usually fine, I carry a piece of plywood about 300sq if I have to do it somewhere soft.

That sounds like a wise idea mate.
So would this sort of thing work?

Also look at a 2 stage bottle jack, more travel from min to max travel.

hi lifts are good but can be dodgy (like anything spose)
Re: Changing a Flat Tire - Noob Question
I cary a jack like in the link and a couple 250x50 wooden blocks, makes it easier and good on the soft stuff. Hi lift is ok but cant really rely on it as it can fall off. You can get propper hi lift lifting points or hooks that attach to the hi lift. I use hi lift mainly for recovery not for tires........not so easy if you on a lean which is where you usually get a flat anyone had any experienc with the exhaust jacks??
