Shortening Chains

Hello Guys

Does anyone know if its difficult to shorten diamond pattern chains ?

I've done the ladder type before both ways but haven't tackled diamond ones.

same principal, hack till right length, remove bits as required. stuff if up, weld hack job back together!
Dont follow me. i'll get stuck and need a tow..
