Just fitted new Drag link and track rod to 88 saf, running 35's, 2inch sus lift
Are there any special considerations for getting a wheel alignment done on large dia mud tyre setups?
Can I trust the local tyre guys to get it right, or better still is there someone in Ak that good for these setups?
Conversely , does it matter and can I simply DIY at home?

What sort of mud tyres?
You don't have much adjustment in the front, basically just toe isn't it? Quite straight forward to set the toe yourself.

Tyres are Silverstones extremes, however im looking to get another set of 35inch MT's that handle Road conditions better for the longer trips.
I have set of worn Bridgestone dueller (33inch) im looking to change up to 35's with 1 spare covering both sets
Vehicle is road legal, not daily runner, but weekend 4wd trips and hunting which is open rd 6hr return trips ex Ak
yes its just toe in with adjustment on the track rod.

I have silverstones and alignment and balancing doesn't mean much to these haha!
If you are going to run another set then its worth doing a proper alignment. I would spend a few bucks and get an alignment done at a shop so you can also get the camber and castor measurements. Not that they are adjustable but you know where you sit.

every alignment machine will give you a read out of camber, castor, toe, total toe, sai, thrust angle etc etc. only thing that can be done on these is the total toe.
