They are on at least one of the Clubman Class trucks in the Mainland Winch Challenge Series. He's happy with them - no noticeable difference to Simex / Silverstone. And wearing similarly. Pity they aren't available in 35in yet

only in 16" :-)

4wdbits are actually a very true indication of what's available in the country, if its not listed on their website, then you can pretty much guarantee its not in the country ;-) ;-)

Are these a radial? Cause if I could be tempted by a set in a 33x10.50x15 as these seem a hard to find size as a radial.... BFG seem to be the only company making them that are available in NZ.

I've found out that these are not a radial.... bias ply. I guess this is why they are being used in comps then.

My next question is what is the wear like with them.... they're only $5 per tyre cheaper than Silverstones and look to have less aggressive side lugs.... so are these any better than the Silverstones as these seem nowhere near as popular....

Have a look at the Lakesea Tyres at the bottom of there page, seen some of the Xemis "bear paw" the ither day. Impressive looking at Radial too. The Xterrain is Radial also. Cant comment on wear though they are cheap at $280each

Thanks for that.... have seen those Lakesea tyres but never in a 33x10.50. Unfortunately they are a 16 inch rim.... and if I'm going 16" then I'd rather buy 255/85R16 Maxxis Creepy Crawlers. I'm looking for a cross ply as well and a radial but I'll keep these tyres in mind thanks.

So does anyone know how these tyres wear.... better or worse than Silverstones???? From what I'm hearing, the Silverstones seem to wear very quickly

they wear extremely poorly, any aggressive wide void large block tyre wears rapidly on and off road, you don't get aggressive offroad performance and long wearing road use in the same package you have to look at a compromise mid range tyre for that :D

Yea, I know that for sure, but what I'm meaning is which one is worse. I've heard that Simexs are way better than Silverstones for wear (on and offroad) and I was wondering where these GTRadials fit in. I'm thinking it may have something to do with different compounds and the Simexs being less sticky than the Silverstones but really am not sure. If these GTRadials wear like I've heard Silverstones do I'll probably save the extra and go SImex
