private messages

Do these still pop up when you get one in your inbox? Or is the only way to know to go into the user control panel?

Na you aren't stupid. They have done their best to hide Private messages from us.
You need to click on "user control Panel" (top left corner)
then hover the arrow on "overview" button.
then from the drop down list, select "private messages" at which point a blank message appears, ready for you to compose a private message.
At which point you then hover over "compose message", which gives you another drop down list, at which point you can select "INBOX" !
Very laborious, and definitely not self explanatory.

Can you show us the awesome forum that you run then please? I think the people running this one do an awesome job, and I would think a lot of people wouldn't be happy if it were to disappear so maybe try helpful suggestions rather than just having a moan?

I agree with you, they do do a fantastic job.
However, i feel every statement i've made is factual.(apart from suggesting they have done their best to hide the Private messages.)
On the the previous forum(ie prior to the change to .kiwi) the private messages were easy to access and very obvious.
Obviously the changeover has forced the administrators to use this new , very poor, system. Naturally, I thought this was a teething problem, so haven't criticised it at all, until today.

And while you(zukmeista) see only my criticism, the bulk of my post was actually info that was helping a fellow member,which i try to do often.

Yeah it is laborious.

Also I noticed the egosearch feature has disappeared. That was a useful feature for quickly locating previously posted tech information/pictures of naked Thai chicks etc.
