Places to go around Southland

Postby Dirtydog » Thu Jun 27, 2013 8:34 am

Hey folks,

Me and a mate of mine want to find some good places to go hunting (obviosly the best spots no one will talk about) we dont know of any areas around here apart from the base of the hokunui's.

Were after mainly deer, but pig and goat are viable targets aswell, wed be going with a mini-30 and possibly a mini 14.

Are there any good places close to gore?

only place i know of is about an hours drive away, and were looking for something a bit closer.

Cheers in advance for any tips,

Google is you friend use the doc site will tell you places where you can hunt

as for "good spots" will be lucky if anyone will tell you so get this book http://www.spotx.com/shop/guide_books/1877374753.htm

some spots will get hammered but i have caught few animals using it as a guide

relitivly new to it to be honest, didnt know there was a hunting club.

seems gore has a club for just about everything outdoors.

Mates got a doc permit so we should be sweet, just like a fishing licence, when ya got it on ya dont see anyone, but as soon as ya leave it in the car they find ya lol.
