Crap! Alternator shit itself in tonga
Turns out its been pumping 30volts AC into the batteries because one or more of the diodes has crapped out. Its down on reduced output etc.
Does anyone have an account at pan pacific that could get an alternator delivered to an Address in auckland for tomorrow for on a plane with an uncle wednesday? Specs are
leece-neville
external regulated
130amp to 180 bigger the better
isolated negative
or anything similar to that quality and size (marine continuous running)
This thing keeps our fridge and freezer running etc so quite important and urgent
I have someone else working to sort this out but they wont have the resources ore members have. If you are able to help please contact paddy at pdshanna@gmail.com or ph 027 2859665 he is an ex mechanic and mech eng so hopefully will know whats what.
He has the address details and CC info.
Any help will be muchly appreciated.
cheers

Something like this Mike?
INSULATED GROUND
Adjusting Hole Diameter: 1/2-18UNC
Pulley V Distance From Bracket: n/a
Pulley Diameter (mm): n/a
Shaft Size (mm) : 22.2
Stator Diameter (mm): 175
RPM Cut In: 850
Max. Continuous RPM: 8000
SUITS: Universal Heavy Duty Commercial & Marine applications requiring brushless design & higher outputs at lower RPM (Fuel trucks etc)
NOTE: Lamp driver notice; terminal is for lamp connection only. Regulator will be damaged if connected directly to battery or ignition switch. Optional warning lamp 3 watt max.
NOTE: Field Isolated regulator (part no: 64-220) available for retro fitting for fuel tanker use etc.
New GH Model Features:
- Directional fan, creates 25% more air flow, enhancing cooling.
- Heavy duty needle roller rear bearing & C3 DE bearing with high temp grease.
- High temp avalanche diodes & 1 piece soild link welded rectifier bridge.
- HML stator - withstands extreme temps up to 110oc (normally 93oc)
NOTE: Output approximate only at 25oc (cold). Hot operation (85oc) output is reduced by approx 15%
$950 incl gst for the Alt..... no pulleys etc.....

Thanks guys, got mine working again and doubled the output by adjusting the regulator, will get one up early august and swap over. Not sure about that one badnews, prob going try and get one through pan pacific the same as I have but externally regulated so the mountings are the same.
