Good to hear Jaffa, And from what i have heard from a MR2 Guru (Vvega,s mate in Palmy called Tex) is that its all the calipers from that series of Mr2 that fit and just the later model ones that have a different offset or something.!!

The ones you need have 16v on them, these are the ones to get apparantly, with the handbrake connection what is needed to connect up the cable to them??, the ones I have here have a lever by the looks of it.

Thats what Ive been trying to work out, but no one seems to know. Rotazuk got some off a AW11 Mr2 which is the early shape (square with the 4AGE or 4AGZE). These are our of the N/A ones

Image

I also have these ones of the later model MR2 which I stripped (SW20, rounder shape, with 3SGE or 3SGTE - think thats right). It was the turbo version and the callipers look identical to the ones people have used, so Im getting a little confused now......

Image

looking at them they are very similar but the early MR2 is narrower - solid disc, where the later ones were vented, hence wider calliper.

That 2nd pic is the one to use, I was told they were from the NON turbo, but if they're from a turbo who cares they're the ones that i've used on the vented prado rotors....
I purchased mine off the shelf, and so were Pete's neither donor MR2 was sited we were relying in the info from the wrecker

just to confirm, there is no difference between the brakes from a turbo sw20 and a non turbo sw20 so back brakes from either will be fine.

Had a look under the back of the POS today with regard to these new brackets, from what i can see mounting plates should bolt up....

These are the MR2 Calipers I have sitting here
Image

My existing handbrake cable(s) move in from the caliper to the centre of the diff, the MR2 handbrake mechanism appear to activate to the rear of the vehicle. Any suggestions on how to connect this?, swopping them leaves them in the same position
