Re: Tomsoffroad & Customs
I like the shroud that came out very cool, the ramped corners will add alot of strength
Nice work

Is there a custom inlet manifold hiding under there? More of your work?
Re: Tomsoffroad & Customs
Tom is a man of many hidden talents...has fabbed up quite a bit of stuff for me and has improved on aftermarket suppliers gear .
Modified inlet manifold came from UFI in Perth.

Another airbox, snorkel package. K&N does the cleaning
1uz in a YN65 Hilux. 3" airbox to throttle body, 3.5" snorkel. Sounds mean under throttle

Re: Tomsoffroad & Customs
Hey Tom, where did you get the 3.5" bends from..? for the snorkel.. Been thinking of doing similar.. to get the extra 10 or so hp out of mine.. also main reason is I have to go 6 point cage and need to move my snorkel..
Re: Tomsoffroad & Customs
Noice!! Thats exactly what i've been getting at..plenty of room between the airbox and filter which is what the zd30 box lacks!
Re: Tomsoffroad & Customs
Don't what Tom does for bends but I just bought a 3.5" donut from Chase exhaust.
http://www.chase.co.nz/part/528/0/DN89X177
Roughly $120 from memory.

Definitely thought about it. Still havent got my head round how to makes it work. Thinking if I was to keep the lexan lid I'd have to make the box 2 piece to clamp the panel filter. .... or maybe clamp the panel filter with the lid

either way.
two piece like factory setup with clamp half way down the 'box'. window on top.
or make the lid as an insert to clamp the filter and fasten it at the top.

Then got back onto the Prado. It needed a brace between the coilover struts. So in true redneck fashion I got carried away There simply wasn't enough room under the bonnet so.............................. I'll post pics of the bonnet tomorrow night when I've finished hacking
