was just wondering if anyone knows some good tracks in the canterbury area ?? 8)

Theres one as you go over to akaroa half way over the hill, if your heading east, it'l be on the left hand side of the road and turns back the west. I havent been down it.. Does anyone know whats down there?? Also Kowai valley at bottom of porters pass.. anyone know who to contact re: access?
