I used to work up the end of road at erewhon, we use to work on the rule up to 80 safe to crooss with one truck 80-115 take a secound truck just in case and over that dont go near you can always ring land owner c drummond and ask what he reackons as he checks it most days and can tell you whos in what huts

Then again that rule we worked on was trucks with 2 inch lifts and 33s. If going up clyd thats worse one to cross. You use to be ablde to not have to crose but think river changed a bit now. Lawrence will have bugger all compared to clyd. Just remember it a bigg catch ment so if it starts pissing done and doesnt stop get the f out. The farmer will not help you

Just back from climbing trip in the Gardens this weekend - saw the wheel tracks up at McCoy and had a WTF moment - that is a heap of rocks to bump over! Good effort getting up that far. I just parked up at Black Bluff, quicker to walk past there and its lonely country with just one truck if you get in trouble.

Nice, our trip was a bit of a reconnaissance mission for a Garden trip as I'm quite keen for a look around up there. Which way did you go? Did you go up Perth Col? How far did you get? How was the weather up there, wet all weekend? How long did it take? I'd be pretty keen on a full trip report if your putting one up anywhere?

You should have been able to drive pretty much the whole way to Watch Dog on the track without too much trouble. Sometimes its pretty hard to stay on the track though. From their to McCoy its boulder bashing. We managed to hug the hills in the scrub quite a bit which made it fairly quick moving. You just had to stop every now and again to stand on the roof and spot your way though the mine field. Only damage we got was my bent rear drive shaft. But it wasnt too bad, only noticeable above 80km/hr. And I think JR bent his un-bendable heavy walled trailling arms and tie rod. Nothing to hold us back though.

Minta, I'd love to go for a drive up there.

In summer when the river is low, what's the deepest crossing you have to do?
Would an Escudo get up there?

hay mate, level had got up around 100/120, taken from ferther down the river than were this is.think tha worst one was maybe just up the bottom of my door, certinly not what we were expecting. not to mean not to expect deep water if you pick the wrong spot!!(or go looking for it)

no reson why your escudo wouldnt get up there,if standed you may nt get to the macoy though :D
