Vandy Road and Pureora
We may not even be able to contact the guy, in which case we may just have to turn up and see if he's there / go anyway.
Ben
Technically, if its a paper road we would be with in our rights to just charge on in.........

Sounds good I'm still not sure I can get out next weekend anyhow. The leave pass from the wife is still pending Bens right though we do need to get up there while the motivation is high. Its a cool track I'm looking foward to getting back in there and hopefully getting further than the slip this time

I spoke to a neighbour (actually a new employee I just hired) and he has ratified some of the perceptions of people here. Simply.... It aint worth it.
The track may be fun, but the probability of nasty grief is high, and although some of us are of the "#### them" opinion, the general consesus, once tesosterone has abated, is that we should get on and find alternate tracks.
One of which is the Aotea block (is that right wopass, cant remember?) and around the Kawhia area.

Re: Vandy Road and Pureora
Not sure if people are still looking at this but went up Vandy road today. The cozzie 4wd club has done a bit of work up there but it really needs a digger. Especially for the slip and to fix the entrance. But looks like it's been seeing a fair bit of traffic. Would be a great track to see more usable. The entrance holes are full of big rocks, but after that it's just clay. I did it in my standard 72 range rover and had to winch 3 times. The start is the toughest holes due to the rocks.
