Aka's and Rallywoods booked for this weekend in the new year, 20 to 23 Jan.

Will post more details etc in the next week




Time to head out into Rallywoods and the Aka's for some fun.
It will be warm and hopefully sunny, so we can drive some tracks that are not that easy in the wet winter months.

This is a Kiwi 4x4 trip; however this trip is open to visitors.

Trip leaders are myself and Reece.

Kiwi 4x4 Trip Wellington Anniversary Weekend 20th Jan till the 23th Jan

20th Jan
Rallywoods overnight
Heading in Friday afternoon for the night

Have a play in Rallywoods with an experienced driver in your passenger seat

Amelia is having her 21st here on this day. Friends of hers coming in sat arvo and we are planning on taking them for a drive
Usual Rallywoods fees apply

Sun 22nd Jan
Aka's trip + optional overnight
Meeting 9.15am sharp at Rallywoods gate, back at approx 4pm
Max 15 trucks

10 hour track


Trip will be open to non assn members, provided they have the required safety equipment i.e. hooks

$20 fee payable for access into Aka's per wagon

PRS Radio recommended

Trailer parking and gear can be left at Rallywoods on the 2nd day

Family friendly trip

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
tow hooks
first aid kit
fire extinguisher
rated recovery strop
Spade

We will scrutineer trucks and make sure they are up to scratch.

For those who wish to come in on the Friday night, we will be at Rallywoods from 4pm. Please PM myself if you would like access after this time.

The gate will be locked over the weekend but will be open at 8am Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning. Please contact me if you need access outside these times and I will sort it out for you

The Green hut is available for sleeping in or you are welcome to bring in your tent

Need to bring in food and drinking water. Make sure you have plenty of ice as it get’s very warm up there at this time of the year.


If you are overnighting please bring in a couple of liters of diesel or a gold coin donation for the diesel to run the generator.

Please note that there will be limited places on the 10 hour track and ALL must be fully self recoverable, and please, no silly comments about taking your whale through

Guess I should mention that there are some very off camber hill climbs as well and there may be panel damage... I will not be held responsible for any damage to your wagon at all.

Ha ha, i would never blame anyone for panel damage i inflicted on a trip
(Except for my navi - after all what else are they good for )

Sweet, means that we can do a quick trip to the 10 hour track and check the mud holes and drain them if needed

I arrive in wellington on the 17th Jan at around 5am. Im going to sort a working bee on the truck for that day in Wellington, have to talk to Stinky first tho(Just talked to him and that is go)..... and somewhere to crash the night, then over to Featherston on the 18th, to see my Norf Island parents. Then a night at rallywoods for this event..........
