ocean beach for new years

We are heading round ocen beach for new years if anyone is keen.

Heading round on sat 29th and coming back on the 1st.

Get some diving and fishing in :mrgreen:

Head over to martinborough and keep going until you get to a beach ... next to the ocean :wink: , might head over for new years day

Note that birds (Banded Dotterel and Caspian Tern) nest on the sand dunes in summer. The dunes also contain fragile plant life so it is best to keep to the lake shore or sea shore.

Once you get to the beach head south past the batch's I think you go though 2 gates and a shingle slip. We will be camping

Your on to it mr green :wink: when you get to the beach and head south past the batch's, go though a couple of gates as well as a creek we'll be camped long there some where.

you go past the first sign, it's an easy track there is a shingle slip that can be interesting to cross as it moves :shock: but once your over that it's just like driving round red rocks :mrgreen:

Now that my truck is all WOF'd and REG'd up, time to take it on a road trip.

I'll be there. Will bring the whole family for a days outing on the Saturday.
Weather is meant to be good.

we are heading round this evening as both si and i are working today,
cause the weather is a bit on the dodgy we could be camping at the batch's but you'll see the mighty cruiser :mrgreen: as long as we don't get a southerly we'll be round there till late on the the 1st
