I managed it (at speed) in my old Pajero on 31" AT's.

muds makes it harder in the sand at red rocks.
drop your pressures hardout and keep your revs high. don't back off 'til you know it's firm enough to stop on.
don't corner too hard.
and you'll get far as
I got to cave bay in my swb paj on 31 mts. kept it hammer down coz any acceleration just made it dig holes. mt tyres are the worst thing for sand but I jsut kept my momentum and it was sweet

Nice, I'll be keen to try it if I had a exhaust jack and a winch + a fuggin long extension strap!

Or maybe when I suddenly double the valuation on my insurance for my Navara ha ha.

 Hope you gave that a EXTREMELY good rinse!!! i never go through the sea water, make a point of it and rinse after everytrip focusing on rust prone areas.

I have 33x12.5 that i run on 10 - 12psi and i can stop on very soft sand (done a few times to tow people out) personally dont like the huge speed on the sand - a mate has had huge problems with his truck doing that going over seaweed with a rock under it.

just go with at least one truck that will be able to get you out and dont be afraid of getting stuck, may be surprized how capable a truck is on road tyres at 15psi on sand. dont think i have towed anyone out that has had there pressures at 15 or under

Quick update on track.

Road conditions are still pretty good, just more potholes...
Only went to long beach for a quick fish and mate went for a dive.
Average luck on the fishing front.
Orcas were out which made for a pretty awesome sight.
Noticed someone has put rocks into the creek to try and fill it up near the batches. Near the start. Cant see a reason why? possibly done by the batch owner that has 30t digger parked outside?
A few more slips as you come onto long beach but nothing major.

Finally got to use the light bar + HIDs as well

Some pretty decent sized rocks in the "dip" blocking it. I would have to have used drag chains or someone with a winch.
Wasn't going to get into a potenital argument with a batch owner that has a big digger .
Its not that bad just filled up with seaweed and loose sand making it a bit soft. Next big rain and it will either fill up to be level with the road or blow its load all over the beach ha ha. Saw a 50cc scooter out at sinclair head??

Funny youmention that. about this time last year i saw 2 going through windy bay (well kinda... walking it at full throttle) and playing around in the stream.

was funny to see. almost as good as a late 80s corolla going over the gate at full tit and hitting the engine cross member.... HARD

Back in the early nineties a mate and I used to skive off from polytech and heard round red rocks at least once a week in his SJ413..

Funniest thing we say was one of those old Subaru Leone wagons way past hells gate.. Not much more clearance than a corolla.

Went out last tuesday, tracks washed out in a few places.
Decent slip down 1/3 along long beach.

The big dip (marked) before long beach is washed out and need to drop down to beach to make it around.

Be interesting to see it now after more heavy rain.
