Yea, though I drive through the valley of death (and it's mudbogs), I shall fear no trail;for tho art modified is my rig, and thy lift kit and lockers they comfort me. Amen

Also keen on coming up for this. Only question is - will a truck without a snorkel be okay in Ashurst River?

there will be a bit of road ks involved, Ashhurst to top of Pahiatua track, back through gorge to Ashhurst from woodville, after river from saddle road bridge to Takapari road entrance and back again.

if you want to take the risk your call, real good play area at Ashhurst river tho
Leaving at 09:30 Saturday morning from Ashhurst Camp grounds

Truck without snorkle will be fine, if it's too deep, we'll sort out alternatives.

Tim has rented a Holden Rodeo for the day and we don't want to kill it, so be good to see you there.

Leaving Ashhurst Domain Camp grounds at 09:30 on Saturday morning, will be on PRS channel 9.

Awesome day out with Greg and a few of the other local guys and UK Tim. Thanks heaps for organising this Greg, had a great day.

Only a few casualties, Greg broke a trans mount but still went nearly everywhere in 2wd, I lost a number plate and a couple of wheel weights and nearly the pillar mount for my snorkel.

Will post a few pics tomorrow.

Cheers
Matt.

Thanks for coming all the way up Matt and Mark, was good to meet you guys, have done some homework on the diff mount and possibly found the cause, lift+worn inner and outer cv's = more pressure on the diff mounts over time and bang there she goes, will know more tomorrow, will keep ya posted. Hilux in 2wd for the day rules

Greg

after further investigation today, front diff needs to come out so we cant get to the chassis mount, and check front inner and outer cv's for wear, should be able to apply a bit of heat and pressure from jack de-mushroom the mount / hole area, and flatten it out and weld a plate to the inside of it, might be time to SAS it instead ???? $$$$$$$$$
