Hanmer springs 30th dec

Postby Jameshunt244 » Fri Dec 27, 2013 8:36 pm

Hey a couple of us are heading up hanmer way around New Years. Haven't got a plan set in stone yet but gotta get out of Christchurch for NY. on the 1st through to 4th we are meeting up with some others to do the rainbow and molesworth and cruise around that general area camping, fishing and hunting. Does anyone have any ideas of places we can drive up towards there? And would you like to join us. Nothing to serious pretty stock vehicles but a spirit of adventure so it'll be nice to find something with a bit of a challenge

We will be around Hanmer on the 29-31, just a couple of families camping and cruising. I have a Silver/Dark Grey Prado with a silver roof tray. And Mate has a Grey SAS Surf.

Did the red flat deck spring a diesel leak in Hamner?
We met one at the garage getting a quick repair done 5pm New Years eve.

Na no damage for us, must of been someone else. Cool trip didn't find much mud though despite the constant rain falling from the sky. Definatly showed how a 1986 liteace can climb though.

Where did you end up heading? We headed into Lake Tennyson on New Years eve, stayed for 2 days. Yeah there was plenty of water around.

We spent ny eve at the hot springs just down the road from boyle, then headed over molesworth and across to st Anaud, camped on a riverbed there for a couple of days before returning down the rainbow rd back to hanmer
