Any tracks around south auckland or cleavedon?

Postby on2it » Sun Dec 29, 2013 9:39 am

Just wanted a stage 2 or 3 run for a couple of hours within an hour of manukau. Don't really want to trek to wood hill. Paper roads will do for some exploring.

Saw pukerau 4wd closed down this month.

There is nothing open to the public close to Manukau. There are a couple of clay roads near the Waikato north heads but only about 1 Km long and in the dry can be driven by 2wd car. Karioitahi beach is worth a look but be very watchful of the tides. Low tide is about 3pm tomorrow.NOt driving on the sand in front of surf club and be aware that police will be out with speed cramears on the beach. All other 4x4 opportunities are on private land and needs to be arranged in advance.
