SI Winter trip July 17 2015

Postby Smurf » Tue Apr 28, 2015 11:10 pm

Is it too early to think about planning another winter trip.
I have had a ball on the last few trips so I'm keen to see who is interested in sorting another for this year.
Any thoughts??

I was thinking Westport again as last years trip was a bit of a track clearing mission perhaps this year we go back for some more driving.
July August sometime?

Just throwing out an idea Dan, but Rich has put forward 17 July so could work on that for a starter.

Depends who is keen I guess. I was just putting the idea out there. But I am keen to have a look through Seddonville , Smith Clearing areas. Perhaps a day in Reefton and head through Wills Claim, Petrol Hill, Green hut areas?

Westport or Reefton, what ever suits the masses. I wouldn't mind having a look up through Wills Claim, and anywhere else I haven't been, not into the Chasm though, I want a few more bars before then...
If we get enough interest no reason we can't run a few trip side by side, tuff and not so tuff(me)

Reefton wouldn't be to bad, least in the middle of winter you have a warm place to stay if you're at the old nurses hostel
