Lake sumner Day trip

Postby mike » Mon May 09, 2005 11:14 pm

Heading upto Lake sumner for the day this coming sunday the 15th. Currently at 3 vehicles going. would like to limit it to around 6 to keep hold ups to a minimum.

Trip Length: Full day, allow 3 hours to get in and 3 hours to get out plus lunch at head of lake sumner.

Depart time: Early, meet at culverdon 9am.
Track conditions: shingle road most of trip to lock katrine. Some deepish hard bottomed puddles expected (cars drive through these  ) From loch katrine through gate 4wd required.
Suitable for: Shiney trucks ie standard family 4wd's with no modifications.

Trip is fully weather dependant. ie If its cold and raining then the trip will be postponed.
