Hey that would be cool, the Coast to Coast!!!

I always said that was one thing i had to do some day.

I think he would make you do the GPS trial the first year, before he would let you enter the actual Coast to Coast.

Entries are very tight, eg, places are already full from the year before.

Should put in a Nrth is land team too. Hmmm.

So we have three interested trucks from christchurch:

Mine, Al's, and Tims.

Coast to coast guy is away on holiday till the 6th of August. End of next week we should know if its a go no go trip.

Nope not yet, I'll stry and sneak a copy off him before I put them all on the vcd. If he aint gonna oblige I'll have to crash a burning nissan through the airport fence and when the the boyz in red rush to its rescue I'll sneak in and copy it

If you crash a burning nissan through the fence we certainly wouldn't rush over to put it out :!:
on the other hand if it were a supra powered hilux we would rush

you can have a copy of the tape chaps :P

Just posting this in here for now and when we are confirmed I will start another thread.

Got some info regarding the coast to coast. the guy is sending out an information pack.

So far ->
this years 'Tough - Tough', will be called
a' Tough Drive' as it needs to be cooled down a bit as I don't want to
keep it a simple event and most important fun for all taking part including
my Marshals and my self , not full harness and crash helmets. Dates
8th -11th March 2006, leaving from Blenhiem, it is a complete mystery trip,
but be prepared for three nights camping rough with no faclities

yowl Mike,
had a guy from Wellington airport fire down for some training late last year by the name of Peter Durkin, he went in this event I remember him telling me, can't remember if he was one of the organiser's though,
do you want me to give him a call :?:

Prob no need as I spoke to the organiser on the phone today. He is sending out the informaton pack and probably entry forms as well. He mentioned our trucks must be club standard for recovery etc which they all are (well mines completely stripped but will be 8) )

Let you know in a couple of days when it gets here, maybe you could get some ins and outs of the event off this guy
