thats absolutely awesome. I WANT ONE! one prob tho, NO OPTICAL ZOOM at all????!?? so if you want to film something 100 metres away you have to jog there......
awesome price tho for a fully waterproof camera, I've been looking for something like this for mounting on top of my scope to get hunting vids :)

yeah its the one drawback that will stop me buying one.... otherwise awesome for the price, be great for getting high quality vids of mudding events but once again, if the action is too far away you have to jog there......

They'll be mint so long as you not moving to fast. 30fps. My helmet cam has the same 1080p specs but can do 720p at 60fps.

Not a bad price for what they are though.

If you're after quality videos, you'll be impressed with what the camera has to offer. 1920 x 1080p resolution video quality at 30 frames per second saved in today's most popular video format - H.264 mpeg-4 codec AVI!

Digital Video Camera
- File Type: AVI (H.264)
- Resolution: 1920X1080 @ 30FPS, 1280x720 @ 30FPS, 848x480 @ 60FPS, 640x480 @ 30 FPS, 320x240 @ 30FPS

Only capable in a far lesser resolution. I should say moving objects should be fine so long as your not moving ie not jogging to get closer so the cameras bouncing around. Camera vibration is hideous on slower capturing cameras and theres no image stabilisation in the 1080p setting it seems.

What is cool is its macro function and its waterproof abilities. As said its not bad. It will be a good camera. just read the specs and make sure it fits what you want it to do - don't just see HD n go Lets Buy it.

hehe right on.. i've already got some footage of bowling goats with the sony handycam mounted on the scope.... i made a homemade mount out of an old broken tripod and a spare scope ring... works really well, especially on the .22 :)
bonus with the sony is 60x optical zoom, clear as day and keeping up with the rifle scope, with no zoom you could barely make out what your shooting at unless its within hammer-throw... as i said it will be the one factor that stops me buying one of these, they look great ! :)

ok got some footage, great little camera.

No zoom except the 4x digital zoom on 720p. Generally its bad practice to zoom while filming as it usually ruins vids so not to much of a loss for me. Tested the water proofing and works well

The resolution of these videos on the site is only 640x480 i think as the HD is still still broken on the site

close up of beer using macro which is actually quite cool. will try in the engine bay when i get a chance.

Not a bad price compared to the GoProHDs....

Quality is similar - how do you find the microphone? Sounds like it doesnt enjoy being underwater but for the price you cant complain..

I should upload one to youtube as their HD is working to see the actual quality of the vid. The microphone is actually quite good. Once its in the water though its quite muffled and needs to be dried out afterwards which is to be expected.

For the price it is a wicked little camera and its so small to carry so quite glad I got one. It has the screen that turns upwards or backwards and the picture changes accordingly.

The gopro aren't that flash. I sold mine as I wasn't impressed by it at all. I use a contour HD - non gps model now. Takes mean video except its 6min per gb of memory. I had to compress mine to 0.5% original size to upload it on to youtube.

That video from the camcorder isn't too bad aye. would do what most people wanted of it I think 8)

I brought the GoPro only because it's tiny and easy to mount.
I've also got the HD Contour. Though that shoots crystal clear vid and the sound is awesome, it doesn't have a waterproof container like the GoPro. But then the GoPro audio is crap.

For the money this one seems good value Mike.
