sun 20th poulter river for cruise and fish

Hi guys kbjj and myself going for a trip to the poulter river up Arthur pass way, mt white area. for a look and a fish if suitable. anyone keen to tag a long more than welcome, 021 310675 Tony PM or txt only please as have kidds asleep. meeting at 8.45am Springfield pub or in rangiora at 8.00am if wanting to meet in rangiora i will txt the address to you.

Last time I was there (3 mo ago) we dropped into the river about 1/2 K back from the slip then went back onto the track a bit further up.

I understand the large scree slope may be a struggle to drive now too.

Spent most of the time on the river bed, an outboard would of been handy :lol: Thats pressy's 80 in there somewhere

We didn't even see any fish, not saying there arn't any thou. It's a reasonably fast flowing river with very few (if any) quite pools or eddys and was still a little higher than usual. I've little experience with fishing this type of water, excuses, excuses I know :lol: It was windy as well, at times your legs were getting sand blasted. A fish would have been nice, but its all about the adventure, and scenery....

The hardest past is crossing the river due to the slip, its also quite remote so I would take two vehicles minimum
