Bought 50mm wheel spacers from 4wdbits, always a fair deal 8)
had a few test drives ended up on two wheels almost tipping so should help with stability

All tacked together, thinking of a hood scoop / bulge to bring it all together.

Very impressive work mate, liking it. Just a thought I had watching your video, I could be wrong, but would it be worth running a remote trumpet off your blowoff valve, last thing you want is it going off underwater and the possibility of getting water into your plumbing...? I know they breathe out, and would make an interesting sound if it did go off underwater (*kid brain kicks in and thinks of farts in the bath*). :)

You can plumb it back in before the turbo. There are a few advantages there, the compressed air going back in will keep the turbo spinning faster, you computer won't over fuel (if you use an AFM) and you will take away the leak point.

Very nice truck by the way :D

Sounds like its turbo stall making the blow off valve sound?? Are you running the standard inline valve? Or have you hidden a bov in there somewhere? If not you should run one to reduce the turbo stall as it soon stuffs them. And run it back into the system like said above...

Thanks for all the comments your all right ha ha. The sound is blow back on the turbo. BOV still not re installed, weighting on front panels before I finish off with a air box and that's when I will plumb in the return of stock bov.

Finished bending up other side and welded it all up. But just looked like it might pivot if it was hit hard enough so added a tube to tie it back to the chasse.

Thinking of either ally for wheel wells or a plastic of like 6mm thick but just not sure where to buy it yet. Any ideas??

Had no room up front for battery's. So installed them in the back. Glad to get some weight back there too.

Thats a lot of weight on those tailgate hinges, they have been known to rip out with the weight of a large spare tyre and you have batteries on there as well.

Hey ya that is a concern. although my tire is on its own swing away from the back bumper. Think maybe ill ad a frame under the box to support the weight but not attached so I can still open the tail gate.
Thanks, good to have a extra point of view. Keen on learning the easy way

Oh didn't notice you had a swing away  Batteries are still pretty heavy though so some additional support would be good.

Had a wicked weekend up north with the Rodney off road club, and really tested out the truck for its madden voyage.

Had a ball and no breakages which I was not expecting.

Nice work on the guards!

I would also be lining the battery box with something so the housing isn't an earth. Easy to drop something into the box and create a short with all those positive connections around.

Matt.

Thanks, ya I shoved a old rubber car mat over the top to cover terminals, but I like the idea of gluing rubber on the inside of the box seems like a good idea.
