Postby sublimenz » Wed Jan 28, 2015 8:07 pm

Looking for a new 4x4 to replace my old terrano.
Are the Challengers any good for basic offroading club runs and abit of hunting so nothing extreme.

For that price you can not go wrong.
Ide be all over that if I had the cash, that's cheap for the money spent. You pay $6k for a tidy standard challenger.

That would be extremely capable.
You can not go wrong.

Thats bloody torsion bars for ya
Especially when they have a couple of hundred thousand KMs on them.

I've found that the only way to knock the (modified) Nissan IFS out of alignment is if the t-bars sag when it takes a big hit.

Hence I am trying to design a coil spring conversion using an air-shock for fine tuning the ride height, and with camber adjustment built into the upper control arm. Need to submit the plans to an engineer (a real engineer) to see if there are any fatal flaws with the design.

But the bottom line is - you'll be spending more time under any vehicle that is used off road.
TOYOTA - The Official Vehicle of ISIS!
And makers of the '92 Camry, where you got your first backseat handjob.
