r50 advice

Postby vlturbo » Tue Feb 23, 2016 9:55 pm

hey guys.... a couple questions i have about my td27t 95 r50 terrano...
firstly im looking at giving it some stance with bigger rims and tyres or the fill up the guards they just look better im currently running on 235/75/15 on standard rim and was wondering what is the biggest rim and tyre combo i can run with no suspension mods?? maybe a 31x9.5 or 32x10 tyre and 15x9 rims???
also my exhaust system is coming up for replacement its a bit rotten and was thinking a 2.5inch from turbo back??
if anyone has done these to a r50 would love to hear your opinion???
thanks guys...
keep up the good work on here.. EXELENT place for newish 4x4ers!!!

A 235/75 is a bit small for one of them. My own one has 30x9.5 on standard alloys and my work one has 265/75/15 on.
You might squeeze a 31 on it but a 32 will probably hit the strut unless you have rims to bring it out then it would hit everything else at the front when turning.

keep the standard wheels, or at least the standard offset. Clearances everywhere are best with standard offset.
30-31" diameter should be fine, hopefully more R50 owners will jump in , and give their experiences.
