Any Interest in FOX AIR SHOCKS

Postby 4wdstuff » Tue Apr 19, 2016 8:44 pm

Or more correctly Fox Nitrogen Shocks.
Getting some 12" 2.5" for myself, can get some more either 2.0" or 2.5" as part of my shipment.

The 2.0" would be about $450 each
the 2.5" would be about $725 each

Cheers
Tim

Would you use them for a speed racer application?
I know they are used as coil over air shocks in some front ends for racers, but generally they same to be avoided in speed oriented stuff (I believe because of changing spring rates/damping as they get warm).
Go ahead, make me smarter. :D

Class 10 motorcycle powered off road racer run a search for the "edge barracuda" I have the plans for this but there are some things i'd like to change.... improve on lol (well I'd like to think I'm improving the design)
The air shocks arn't ideal but due to the weight or lack of it they work and they are a weight saving over coilovers, the plan was to build an edge barracuda on air shocks play with it and race it while I learn and build my frame and suspension.... work is interfering too much with my plans lol

I know the car. Sounds exciting. I can see how you might make the air shock compromise on a super light vehicle such as that.
