We started by removing all the stock steering . Bolted the new arms on.I had done a hub rebuild kit 2 weeks before . I broke a brake line taking the old rods off. sat the tie rod on the arms then saw that not enough clearance under the sump.About 10mm. I bought the ute with the suspension already done .I think about 2 inch lift. so we decided to make new cross member to give clearance.Image

Tom does beautiful work

We cut the hangers off .Factory welding looks like crap but it holds on . 100x40 box with an allowance for the radiator .Sweet.

You have to cut the top torque rod bracket off .Sat the plates on chassis they needed a trim .Held the box in place .We just used the standard steering rod . I got some 20 mm solid bar and Tom turned it into crush tubes 12mm hole 4mm wall .

Took the air con stuff out while radiator was out. Manipulated the standard steering hoses to fit Was pretty close .

Test drive .I noticed a difference straight away .The steering was so much lighter . No more bump steer better steering lock.I is expensive but well worth the money. Its like driving a new car. Thanks to
