another question, was wondering what the SSR and SSR limited badge on the back of the surfs meant? does that make the vehicle worth more if it is a limited model???

I am currently looking at buying a hilux surf. I have heard that some models might have some problems and was wondering which models these might be????I am looking at the 1988-1993. Does anyone have any preference to diesel or petrol, turbo non-turbo etc. Sorry to be so broad and L-plate ish!!!!!
