LED light bars

Hi Guys, We get a lot of LED lights though our work and lately I came across some nice six LED and ten LED models made by Aurora. Amazing light output with minimal current draw. I want to get some for my truck but there is a minimum order quantity. They're going to work out about $290 and $325 ...

Re: Are you an AA member?

I have been for 11 years but am thinking about flagging it away as I've never used them. More often than not you fix it yourself or ring a friend.

I know the first day as a non AA member I'll need them though :(

Re: where to get lexus V8 conversions done

If your still in the market for getting this done try Brendan on 021 475437. He's done heaps of these into all sorts of things. They make a bell housing adaptor for manuals, and even have a new supercharger kit (which is in the final testing stages) Worth getting a price from though, he did a mates ...

Re: what other radiators fit into 413's?

Try fitting a vitara one. They use the same mount on the drivers side, and the vitara one on the passenger. And the hose fittings end up in the same place on the same side You can use the factory shrowd of the 413 which just leaves the extra few inchs exposed. There may have been some gentle hammer ...

Re: Samurai Carb? problem

I agree sounds like carb icing to me. If you do have a snorkel you probally are best just to disconnect it infront of the air box. Rather than re instating the factory pipe to the exhaust manifold. It was this problem that motivated me to do an engine conversion... um well convince Ben to do an ...

Yeah the issue is not the air intake side of things. This is sweet on the cultus one as it stick forward and fits with no body lift just!! My issue is the water I want the thermostat and out let at the front of the manifold like a stock vitara or samurai one. Despite my gorges plumbing job (cough ...

Hey all, Another tech question I'm after some help with. I've got a 16v multi point injected 'big block' 1600 in my samurai. The motor goes great but the whole front wheel drive engine in a rear wheel truck leads to a few cooling issues. I'm wanting to swap manifold from the cultus map sensor one to ...

I've got a 16v injected in my zuk and it can do 10l/100km on the open road. Around town it drinks the stuff though.

Vaughn a friend of mine (Matt D) tells me you don't have an accelerator just a switch either on (full throttle) or off

Spring Rates

Hey all,

I'm fluffing around with my suspension setup as was wondering if any one knows what the stock spring rates are on sj143 and samurai. I have a 97 coil one so info on that would be fantastic. Any help would be great.

FYI I'm currently running 150 ft/lb

Cheers

Re: Water Proofing

I don't think they do... on the vits there are defiantly none on a 413 or samy.. There is a breather on the top of my 413 transfer case and I'm pretty sure there is one on the gearbox as well. Sorry didn't mean to say there are none. More what I was trying to say is that they aren't like the ...

I don't think they do... on the vits there are defiantly none on a 413 or samy. I would worry about these long before the dizzy. Plus check where the fuel tank breather is, I had endless problems with my samy getting mud in the tank before I relocated this up to the front.

Riverhead could be a little misconstrued... there are some public paper roads in this area. After all Riverhead is an area whose name is also shared with a private pine forest... very confusing. Its quite hard to end up in the private part "by accident" There is hull road, alpine road, and a few ...

What a savage!

Are you making a fuel tank to go under the truck in the original spot or are you putting it onto where the new tray could/should be?

What happened to the SC on the 1600? Did you ever get that running? If not when can I pick it up

Re: g16A or g16B

If you're going to run an auto go for the 16v, what the engine lacks in off idle torque it makes up for with power. And the torque converter if doing its job properly will soak up the gap between idle and 2000 rpm. You're doing well to stall either if your running an auto. What ever you choose ...

The twin stick is really cool but only worth while like I say if your using twin lockrites and need to 2 - 4 all day in low range.

If you want to use 2L - 4L lots you'd be best to talk to Ben T about twin stick... If you just remove the selector ball then it's actually a bit of an art to get it into 2L. Yes you are correct there are parts of that area that are privately owned. But these days with GPS you can make sure you keep off those small areas  The best help is Map Toaster with property boundries... although you always seem to find people trying to steal crown land and claim it as there own.
