That looks like a cracking route and from the footage earlier in the thread not too difficult for somebody like me who is fairly new to a bit of off roading.

Just a thought could you not cut off the original ones the drill out whats left then buy some threaded bar then cut to size required then lock nut one end with a bit of lock tight.....??
