Mechanicly excellent. Ergonomicly not so good. Make VERY sure the seat is comfortable and is set to correct height. I am tall and can't get seat low enough. I was planning to change the seat , but it turned out to be an airbag model and impractical(to expensive) to change.

I was hoping for a simple fix as I am going to sell the vehicle. Thanks for clarifying things. Now I can make decisions.

The gearbox ecu was at fault, and failing.
Tried several ecu's and the best was a nissan caravan unit. I tweaked the tps to optimise the gear shift points and it is working textbook perfect.
