Re: temp gauge
Just out of interest, what's the model of gauge you have? I've recently bought an Auto Meter 3337-M short sweep electric water temp gauge, and it seems to be reading low, although I haven't got much to back up my claim. Your gauge definitely is missing the metal tabs for the electrical connections ...

yeah something is wrong. The top hose would more likely be around 83-90 degrees max as a general rule under conditions you describe. If you were driving it hard, or doing a long uphill, or on sand, it might climb to 100-105. If it was genuinely ...

Have installed a new sender in the back of the thermostat housing which I think is the AC sender hole, Factory gauge is reading just under 1/2 on both senders. Went and got one of those ...

Re: Sump leak g16b
Yes I have now done it twice drop the diff then undo all the sump bolts turn steering one way to get drag link out the way and fight and move in a way where you can get it around the drag link. Did you drop the pick up at the same time? I have it off but it looks like it's gonna be an ass to get ...

Sump leak g16b
Has anyone changed the oil sump gasket on a g16b without pulling the engine? Looks it should come out by dropping the diff out the way?

Re: transfer case removal
I know that the shape before yours can be removed in the vehicle. The middle bolt at the top is the hard one to get but it can be accessed through the transfer case gear lever. From what ive read the differences between the boxes on the older ones and mine aren't much, hydraulic clutch and ...

My 99 vitara is leaking where the transfer case bolts to the gearbox. Does anyone know if I can drop it off without removing the box? I guess its the seal in the attached picture?
