HEI (high energy ignition systems?) systems are ok but others are as good. The low tension side is just a trigger (as in HEI also), it has nothing really to do with the ...

Re: thompsons track
BrentC and others, be carefull not to paint these guys as the villans, they were just driving a track that was there, they WERE NOT the ones that created it, they have not strayed off a formed track, there is no indication that Doc does not want that track used and it has been there for as long as ...

The toilet thing is more than likly going to be sorted at the camp site by Doc and taupo/King Country 4wd clubs. Doc have certain criteria for toilets that they need to strictly adhere to. It will happen as ...

Na we still wanted to do another stage. Scott said the the pucker hill was there so we were into it. we seemed to come out at the right spot (low and sandy intersection?) then headed out. how many others were keen and took on the big winch hill after the rain started? After we saw a couple of Patrol ...

And whatever happened to that great invention called 'non return valves'... it seems they haven't heard about those yet either! They've heard of them. Put a non return valve on your diff breather and interesting things may happen If its got a driveshaft hanger then my vote (without experiancing it ...

m you can get all the boundaries etc and zoom in real close thru this site, use the parcel layer (but it doesn't tell you who owns them). You'll see theres some interesting surveying on the track itself in the bush at the big corner. It also shows that the short track to the summit isn't part of the ...

I havent sat down and read through the conservation act for 8-9 years but my understanding was it is already written into the act that any vehicle (as interprited by the transport act with or with out wheels), vessile or aircraft (less than 500m? above doc land) requires a permit to access doc land ...

Nah temp gauge works all good so don't think it could be sensor related. Think i'll just tidy it up, sell it and get something else thats not Land Rover. Ya never know it could be sensor related, more often than not the temp gauge sensor is separate from the ecm temp sensor. If its overall a good ...

I have a .85 - .9 mm plug gap with a Bosch GT40 coil I think. Out to 1mm gap would work I reackon. Unless theres some crap getting in the carbs It's hard to say why it was running ok for a start? Float levels etc don't go adjusting themselves (unless the valve is wornout or float sinks) :scratch ...

electronic ign - no condenser Twin carbs on 3.5V8s are on a dual plane manifold, each carb feeds 4 cyls of its own - thats why it's important that they're balanced. So yeah I spose if one carb is dodgy you are gonna get 4 sick cylinders. Is your modded P76 manifold still dual plane. maybe bite the ...

Re: P76 / Rover V8 Nutter wanted
Hi Guys, Engine is a Leyland P76 V8 fitted with an early P6 V8 timing cover and dizzy, and manifold adapted to take SU HIF6 carbs. Symptom: misfires under revs and load but idles beautifully. timing is ok, new plugs, leads, coil and just fitted pertronix ignitor electronic ignition kit. Nothing ...
