Re: Welding on diff housing
Why would I want to pull my front diff out every time I change the oil? If excess sediment is found while doing an oil change ( which you may not see draining through a 6 mm hole) then I will go to all the effort of removing the front diff, in the mean time I'll stick to keeping my magnetic drain ...

Re: Auto gearbox prejudice
I know you are keen on facts - the A440 provides engine braking with the shifter in the 2 and L positions, I know this because of 1) all the research I did when I electronically manualised it and 2) I sure as #### didn't freewheel at great speed down every hill when I took my old Surf offroad. But ...

to answer your other question, your G series diff will bolt straight in (or G series locker to existing diff)
for some reason toyota changed the diff code (G to A) not the actual diff.

I also run standard water pump and have zero issues.
Nearly all the trucks mudtroll and I wheel with have rear radiators ( probably 10 trucks) I think only one has an aftermarket pump.

Not uncommon, usually one of the vacuum solinoids on the inner guard by the air filter.
Try bypassing the blue solinoid (pretty sure that's the in one)
Push the 4wd button and send vacuum to the line from the blue soliniod where it goes toward the front diff.

Re: Turbo oil feed rate
there is a difference between flow and pressure, If you blew oil seals from too much pressure your drain back wasn't big enough. If it's pushing the shaft into the housing then your spindle and bearing's have too much play or not assembled correctly as it would do this anyway when the turbo spools ...
