LD28 turbo land rover defender here, just recently replaced the motor for another LD28 (managed to hydrolock it in some deep water) i think I'm using the L20ET manifold and all i can find on the turbo is that its nissan, but mine is straight piped and Air/water inter cooled, happy with the power ...

the thing is i need the car going soon and my funds arent endless for different engine mounts and the other various things that i would need. yeah i could get a 200tdi for that kinda price, but its the exact same engine and so the swap will be easy/not as time consuming. also the LD28 are pretty ...

just sorted an LD28 in cambridge, getting it freighted soon, 1400$ inc freight

just removed glow plugs and one was bent/broken, think there is no fixing the engine right now...

yep, it finally happened... lesson learnt ..... was going through a deep stream and my manifold between the turbo and intake came off, sitting low in the car the manifold sucked water right into the engine, seizing it and yeah. got towed out and home (god bless you random stranger) and now I'm ...

yeah your right its ex air force, and instead of an intercooler where outside air cools the air in the intercooler, you use a water to cool the air (takes the heat away faster and more efficiently) so I'm using this - http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/performance/radiators ...
