Yeah, I know of the problems with the 2.4 TD engines and cracking heads.

Was thinking more of the newer engines in the second and third generations. Such as the 3.0 L V6 and the 3.0 L turbodiesel.

I always thought diesel engines were longer lasting on average.

In reality I do not really care if its 3000 or 2982.... But thought there is a chance that the insurance company premium formula might charge more for a cc rating over 3000. So would be to good to list is at 2982.

True the boards do offer a bit of protect, but they still resist the flow of water during river crossings. Also by removing them it helps keep the girlfriend agile.
