Re: TD27T Injector Pump Leak - what is this connector?
Two copper washers of either side of the banjo Thanks. It was easier to get at than I first thought. Mine does not have copper washers on it though - they are steel or maybe iron. Too hard for aluminium I think. Very thin too. Anyway I gave them a good clean, and annealed them (just in case they ...

TD27T Injector Pump Leak - what is this connector?
Hi all I've been burrowing around inside the engine trying to pinpoint a diesel leak and I'm fairly sure it's coming from a connector on the back of the diesel pump, directly above the fuel adjustment screw. Here's a picture (taken with thanks from sibainmud in this post http://www.offroadexpress ...

Re: 1991 Terrano TD27T Intake Manifold Removal
Holy s**t - just realised it's over 2 weeks since I started this thread! Got caught up with work and family stuff and only just managed to get around to the manifold again. Anyway ... for the sake of anyone else who's doing it, I finally realised how to get off that last bolt (and all the others ...

Re: 1991 Terrano TD27T Intake Manifold Removal
Yes, should be pretty straight forward. just need to take of all manifold bolts and wiggle past the injector lines. In your first picture, I can see your 12mm ring spanner on the block. Directly down beneath the ring end of that spanner is the injector that is causing me grief, the one with 4 lines ...

1991 Terrano TD27T Intake Manifold Removal
Hi all, I have a small diesel leak somewhere around the injector pump and I'm in the process of a bit of dismantling so I can get in there and have a closer look. Is it possible to remove the manifold with the injector pipes still in place? I've disconnected them all at the injector ends and that ...

Thanks - I think you are almost certainly right - see my previous post.slide wrote:May it be a td27 non turbo fan you need? I get the feeling td27 and td27t have a different size fan

Re: Help sourcing (non-standard) radiator fan for Terrano TD
There are about 4 different water pumps for Td/Qd engines, any decent parts shop should know that and have told you what to check when buying it. You could try a wrecker that has a few terrano's or an engine importer to find the right fan. Yeah thats what I did when I replaced the water pump on my ...

Re: Help sourcing (non-standard) radiator fan for Terrano TD
Why can't you just clock the old fan a bit and drill new holes? The holes need to be closer to the centre than the width of the metal insert - it doesn't extend far enough in. I tried rigging up an adapter out of some offcuts of sheet metal I had lying around but my tools and skill levels were ...

Re: Help sourcing (non-standard) radiator fan for Terrano TD
Wouldn't it be easier to buy and fit the correct water pump? Yep - I have considered that of course. But I don't have any money to spend on this truck at all, so I was really hoping I could pick up a suitable fan as they sell for around $75 compared to $165 - $300 for a new pump/clutch. I can see ...

Re: Help sourcing (non-standard) radiator fan for Terrano TD
No - pretty sure it's not from a forklift. Looking at the photos online, they have a different style clutch with a full plate for the fan hub. Mine just looks like a slightly smaller version of the "standard" pump/clutch.Crash bandicoot wrote:Forklift probably.

Help sourcing (non-standard) radiator fan for Terrano TD27T
Hi all I purchased a new water pump / clutch assembly for my '91 Terrano TD27T a few years ago. After fitting the pump, and attempting to refit the existing fan I discovered that the bolt spacing on the new clutch housing was different, and my old fan would not fit. I couldn't afford to leave the ...
