Sorry for the lack of updates, have made a fair bit of progress on the truck, however can't seem to get posts with images uploaded on here. Thinking I will transfer to a facebook page from now on instead, for ease of operation and image sharing/quality :D link to follow.

Bought some cheap nasty 50mm wheel spacers, temp fitted up to see if i like the look of it at this width before I make everything this wide. Think it suits it!

And exhaust build underway, all 3.5" with v-band couplings, and an AdrenalinR stainless muffler. Will exit through the rear bumper corner.

Got my wheels back from pine engineering a few weeks back, they look amazing, very pleased with them. Now to fit up the tyres.

Time for an update,many hours have gone into the truck in the last few weeks, but my engine mounts are now all finished. just in case you weren't aware, the 2jzgte trans doesn't have a kickdown cable, and so relies on the factory ECU to control line pressure, which means that people who don't compensate for that tend to burn their transmission out. So make sure whoever sets up the TCM2000 increases the line pressure ...

Also got a mate at work to cnc fold up a extrusion for making my radiator support removable. Have cut the panel now and started drilling off the doubler underneath for some fasteners.

Managed to get some time to work on the truck this weekend. First up my sump pan is all notched and finished to clear the diff, and sump bung relocated to make oil changes easy as

You got it, factory ecu is locked and almost impossible to use, im going to run a link extreme for the motor, and a pcs tcm2000 to control the transmission.

The jig i have been working on over the last few weeks. Picks up on the trailing arm mounts and sets the pinion angle, so i can put them all back exactly in the right spot once the axle housing has been cut and widened

The motor with its water to air intercooler, and non vvti inlet manifold, to delete the fly by wire throttle body.

Did ya make ya hawse a bit smaller than drum size? I make mine at least 2-3 rope dias smaller per side to allow for side winching. It does stop the perfect level wind. But how often do you winch perfectly straight Yeah the hawse opening is 50mm total width less than the drum. Just have to buy some ...

Haha yeah im pretty lucky in that respect. Im an aircraft engineer by trade, I work for a rather large airline, wouldn't take a genius to figure out where :lol:

As for the wd21, you're lucky that the yanks have them, ive seen the calmini kits for them, surely someone makes a pathfinder etc long arm kit? Interesting, cool. The soch v6 block is a good block just the heads and efi system are pretty basic. I went down the twin can gto head route with supercharger. Dont get me wrong, mitzi v6 engines are very proven and capible, i just couldn't get nearly the power and reliability for the money as with the 2jz. Unopened ...
