Series 2A rear spring shackle bush
Hi, I am replacing the spring bushes on my S2A Landrover and I cannot find any bushes to fit the rear shackle on the chassis? all the shops tell me that a 30mm OD bush should fit but I cant see how, the hole seems to measure only 27mm?? If anyone knows where I could get these bushes or has had this ...

I had a good look at the hubs and cannot see any evidence of wear on the teeth. I do know that the cv's are not in good shape and do click when turning with the hubs engaged but can they get bad enough to cause the ute to jump, even when in a straight line?

Havent had the ute that long so not sure how long it has been doing it, but does it driving on dirt tracks and ice/snow

Hi i have a D21 Navara that when in 4WD either high or low ratio seems to have a bit of a jump every 300 - 400 metres when driving. think it must be something to do with the free wheeling hubs? anyone had this happen before?

Thanks for the reply. good to hear i dont have to pull the whole cv apart. bugger though because i bought repco ones yesterday. What is the story with BNT do they do public sales or do you need an account?

Hi, my ute failed its WOF on the lower ball joint. I have broken the taper on the joint now but there does not appear to be enough clearance to pull the ball joint out as the CV is in the way. Hi, I have a TD27 with a leak from the injector pump, im looking at replacing the top seals and see what happens rather than paying hundreds to get the whole thing reconditioned. Is there anything to look out for doing this job?

Im doing an engineering degree and for my fractures class i need to find something broken to do a fracture analysis on, does anyone have a broken axle or driveshaft or something similar that I could use? something near christchurch would be best.

Im not sure what it was originally but maybe i will go down to a vtnz or somewhere and ask there. As far as 4wding goes this vehicle is going to be for road use, got a safari and the series one for playing in the mud

My safari failed its warrent on excessive play in the ball joints on the drag link, just wondering if these can be replaced or does a whole link need to be sourced? looks like it is all one solid piece? any help would be appreciated.

yeah i checked the fluid, there was a only a cold line and was well above this but ill check it again cold and maybe a top up will stop it happening again. thanks for the help

I was driving into town yesterday and the safari seemed to be stuck in 2nd gear so i pulled over and checked everything i could think of and couldnt find anything. I carried on and it seemed to be sweet? has anyone had this problem and should i be worried about it?

Has anyone rebuilt the universal on the rear driveshaft of a GQ safari? if so is any special equipment needed and is there a kit available?
