no workshop manual for kzn-130??

"what?? you've got to be kidding me! someone must print one - do you realize how many of these things there are on the road?!?!" Well, apparently nobody prints a workshop manual for the KZN-130. Not Gregorys, Haines or even Toyota! So where do I lay my greasy hands on all the technical information ...

yokohama, bridgestone, dunlop and cooper - decisions!

howdy It's tyre changing time again for the hilux, I have narrowed the field down to four tyres at similar prices - now all I need is the wisdom within the offroadexpress forums to tell me which is the best buy! I am currently running yokohama geolander AT 265/70r15s (they're crap offroad) Local ...

SUPER! thanks very much. Would you say the truck is safe to drive very gently around town until I can get one of those kits freighted over to Greymouth or is it likely to die completely on the main road and be left for the street kids to pick over in the middle of the night? I phoned a mate of mine ...

hmm.. perhaps my stereo was made in the same factory that made my cursed flywheel..
my remote wire also controls the aerial which explains why it does not retract when playing CDs.. theres no decent radio stations on the coast anyway!

rattle rattle BANG hilux technical assistance appreciated!

well the bang wasn't that loud.. and fortunately did not involve any water. there was a faint rattling sound for a few days, I dismissed it as a loose heat shield somewhere but it got louder on a long trip up to the buller gorge - it sounded very much like gears not meshing properly and brushing the ...

I did mine a few weeks ago too.. drove through the bush and bent it over on a gorse bush guess I should have turned the stereo off first! I just bought a complete new unit and installed a switch in a spare dash panel to interrupt the remote wire which triggers the electric aerial to go up and down ...

if your dash lights come on when you brake it means the circuit is good all the way from the dash to the back, but put it back the way it was and get a meter then check from the fuse to chassis with brake pedal depressed, if you get voltage then go pull the interior panels off in the back and check ...

youve prolly got some current leaking to the chassis through some water stuck in the works someplace this would explain why your lights come on dimly and you blow fuses cos the water stuck in there creates a parallel path to the negative and a high current 'slow blow' fault, not a dead short. best ...

Moving to the West Coast - need a new truck!

Hey everyone - what a friendly forum this seems to be! I'm an Aucklander doing the big move in the first week of May down to the West Coast to go work on a new mine shaft just out of Blackball. I used to have an old fj40 which was great out on Muriwai, Piha and bumbling around in the forest but when ...
